Preceptor Recognitions Internal Preceptor of The Year Elected by the Class of 2014 Dr. Michael McGuire was presented the 2014 award for Internal Preceptor of the Year. This award was given to a professor who has invested a great amount of time and effort towards the learning and development of students. Dr. McGuire dedicates his time to Belmont students at his practice site, truly loves his job, and is devoted to teaching, both in and out of the classroom. External Preceptor of the Year Elected by the Class of 2014 Dr. Timothy Morgan was awarded the 2014 External Preceptor of the Year. This award was presented to Dr. Morgan for his exemplary service to our students and passion for patient care. He strives to challenge Belmont students to become excellent practitioners. The School of Pharmacy and Class of 2014 Congratulate the 2014 Preceptors of the Year At the annual Pharmacy Awards Ceremony held May 10, 2014, Husson University School of Pharmacy announced the recipients of the Preceptor of the Year Awards. This recognition was presented to two individuals who demonstrated exemplary commitment as role-models and mentors for pharmacy students in patient centered education during the students final year of education. The awards were presented by Dr. J. Daniel Robinson, Interim Coordinator & Husson Fellow. Dr. Lusk attended the St. Louis College of Pharmacy and received her Doctor of Pharmacy in 2010. Following graduation, she completed two years of clinical pharmacy residency training at St. Luke’s Hospital in St. Louis specializing in Internal Medicine. Dr. Lusk joined the faculty of the University of the Incarnate Word in 2012. She serves as a Senior Board Member of the Central Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists and as a member of the Feik School of Pharmacy’s Residency Advisory Committee. Her research interests include cardiology and infectious disease.
