GOAL
The goal of this activity is to educate pharmacists on a variety of pain management and opioid analgesic topics in a practical, relatable way that is aligned with the Opioid Analgesic REMS educational goals.
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this program, participants should be better able to:
1. Explore identification of opioid use disorder in the pharmacy setting incorporating screening tools and prescription drug monitoring programs
2. Discuss opioid use disorder with patients and other health care providers
3. Explain when to use naloxone and how it should be administered
4. Review addiction medicine and the role of the pharmacist
