Helmer Scientific launches Innovative MLR102 Medical-Grade Countertop Refrigerator

Helmer Scientific, a leading supplier of cold storage and processing equipment, has announced the release of the new MLR102 medical-grade countertop refrigerator with AdvanceCore™ cooling technology. This refrigerator has been specifically designed to satisfy the demanding needs of clinical applications where countertop installation is preferred. The MLR102 is used to safeguard expensive, life-saving vaccines and medications, as well as sensitive, and at times, irreplaceable, reagents and patient samples.

The MLR102 countertop refrigerator is uniquely suited to offer healthcare providers a compact refrigeration solution that meets medical-grade performance requirements related to temperature stability, uniformity, and recovery after routine door openings. These performance characteristics are achieved through the use of AdvanceCore™ cooling technology. AdvanceCore™ leverages innovative thermoelectric cooling technology to remove heat from the core of the storage cabinet. Using a solid-state heat pump, small amounts of heat are efficiently dissipated into the ambient environment without the use of moving parts. This system maintains precise temperature control within +/-1° C across all storage locations within the 1.8 cubic foot cabinet. In addition, AdvanceCore™ technology provides near silent operation, and dramatically reduces energy usage and heat output generated by the system. The AdvanceCore™ technology used in the Helmer Scientific MLR102 Countertop Refrigerator incorporates solid-state thermoelectric technology from Phononic, a company headquartered in the heart of North Carolina's Research Triangle Park.

“All Helmer Scientific medical-grade refrigerators must meet very strict criteria for quality, reliability, and performance” stated Ben Greenfield, Director of Marketing. “The AdvanceCore™ cooling technology in the MLR102 is well suited for compact units that will be used in patient care and staff work areas. We are very excited to offer this innovative product to our customers.”

The MLR102 Countertop Refrigerator also provides software features designed to improve patient safety and staff efficiency. These include precise electronic temperature controls, on-board data logging, alarm condition notifications, and Min/Max temperature tracking. To further protect vaccines, medications, reagents, or patient samples, the refrigerator is compatible with standard Universal Power Supplies as an option for emergency backup power, if needed by facilities without backup generators.

The new MLR102 Countertop Refrigerator is part of the Helmer Scientific portfolio of medical-grade cold storage solutions. The MLR102 Countertop Refrigerator is now available for order in the United States and Canada. For more information please visit https://info.helmerinc.com/countertop-refrigerator.
