In a move that will greatly improve overall patient health, QS/1 has teamed with Script Management Partners (SMP) to offer pharmacies an electronic immunization reporting interface to state and local Immunization Information Systems (IIS). This interface is a turnkey solution to report all immunizations administered within each pharmacy to its respective IIS registry.
IIS registries are confidential, population-based databases that are administered by participating providers for persons residing within a specified geopolitical area. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention encourages the use of IIS to consolidate immunization information into one database to provide an accurate immunization assessment. SMP’s technology, which is designed to improve efficiency in immunization reporting, complements QS/1’s growing immunization tracking features.
