Synergy Medical launches SynMed® Ultra

SynMed®’s proven technology, now with an enhanced option for high volume environments

Synergy Medical, manufacturer and distributor of SynMed® pharmacy automation, has developed a new, first of its kind robot.

SynMed® Ultra maintains the same precision, with SynMed®’s pick & place technology, though now with three times the capacity to fill single dose and/or multi-dose blister cards.

Maintaining a minimal footprint, SynMed® Ultra allows a Pharmacy or Central fill environment to produce 100+ multi-dose cards per hour, with two operators.

“I am very proud of our new machine,” noted Jean Boutin, President and Founder of Synergy Medical. “We are a small team of experienced individuals dedicated to being the industry standard in blister pack automation.  There are over 300 SynMed®s installed in North America; many of them in central fill environments, many of whom need further capacity still.  The Ultra was developed & tested over the last three years to address this clear market need. No other solution exists that can offer the precision, speed, and flexibility of the Ultra.”

SynMed® Ultra has been operating successfully in a Canadian central fill Pharmacy since November 2015.  The first US installation is scheduled for September 2017.

Synergy Medical is headquartered in Longueuil, Canada, has 55 employees, and is focused exclusively on the development, manufacturing, service, and support of pharmacy automation for blister pack preparation. The first SynMed® was installed in January 2008.
