SupplyWorks 340B: 340B Medication Management Software

SupplyWorks 340B tracks eligible usage and manages the procurement of all 340B medications.

The federal government’s 340B drug saving program can help hospitals manage the expense associated with dispensing prescription drugs to indigent and uninsured patients, however, managing and tracking inventory under 340B can be a challenge.

AmerisourceBergen’s® SupplyWorks 340B software is one of many RxWorks Suite® technology and consulting solutions that optimize the medication management process and enable improved patient care, increased cost savings, and market growth opportunities. This solution offers a comprehensive approach to track, report and replenish 340B inventory, while maximizing savings and improving the overall efficiency of your pharmacy’s supply chain.

Robust 340B management system
SupplyWorks 340B tracks eligible usage and manages the procurement of all 340B medications. Implementing this solution provides your pharmacy with the assurance that your 340B savings will be maximized, and your time spent ordering medications will be minimized.

Automatically partitions 340B and standard stock
With SupplyWorks 340B, you can place one purchase order, and the software splits between standard and 340B orders. The system’s accumulator tracks what medications can be purchased at 340B pricing, eliminating the need for redundant databases. The solution negates any need to physically separate inventories of medications and supplies intended for 340B recipients. As a result, your pharmacy retains complete control and minimizes unnecessary administration and warehousing costs.

Captures all savings
Users can capture and report all 340B savings. Several functional reports are included to identify savings and report on purchasing history.

System Highlights

  • Purchase orders can be imported and exported, suggested by the system or sent automatically. Purchase order history provides easy access to and identifies the status of all purchase orders.
  • The Accumulator tracks accumulated 340B medications that are identified by the hospital’s information system.
  • The Message Center provides general system information in the Lobby, Errors, Messages and Requests tabs.
  • Accumulated usage can be moved when products are discontinued or unavailable.
  • A complete audit trail and reporting features identify and track savings and help with buying decisions.
