Technicuff
Clean Sanitary High Performance Cuff
Health Care Providers continually battle to provide quality of patient care while scrutinizing the economic impact of products to the bottom line. Disposable blood pressure cuffs have been marketed as economical alternatives to expensive reusable blood pressure cuffs, which have changed very little since the late 1800’s. Unfortunately, as you have personally experienced, the design of these “cheap” cuffs completely disregards patient comfort, consistency of data, reliability and provides marginal assessment of systemic blood pressure at best.
Technicuff can eliminate the mandate to use second-rate disposable blood pressure cuffs on your critically ill patients while shifting the economic impact away from individual department budgets. Technicuff high-performance blood pressure cuffs have a proven track record to save your facility money, improve quality of patient care and improve blood pressure monitor data consistency.
Features and Benefits of Technicuff
- Extended Range: Technicuff’s universal adult cuff extended range of 17 - 41 cm eliminates the problem of having a “too small” or “too large” cuff for adult patients. One Technicuff replaces three (3) of your current blood pressure cuffs: small adult, standard adult and long adult.
- Indexing-Free: Technicuff’s full bladder cuff system eliminates the need to find, position and maintain the brachial artery index. This eliminates common errors in blood pressure measurement caused by misalignment of the cuff index to the patient’s brachial artery. How many times have you properly indexed a conventional cuff only to have it misaligned minutes later by the patient?
- Patient Removal Resistance: Technicuff’s Patient Removal Resistance Tab was incorporated to all but eliminate premature patient initiated removal of blood pressure cuffs. The design was a direct result of input from healthcare professionals like you. How many times have you placed a blood pressure cuff on a confused patient only to have them immediately rip it off? The Patient Removal Resistance Tab will hold until you lift it.
- Latex-Free Standardization: How many times have you had to hunt for the correct blood pressure cuff to fit a particular monitoring system? Technicuff works on all oscillometric monitoring and manual auscultatory blood pressure instruments, regardless of manufacturer. In addition, all products sold by Technicuff are latex free, including pump bulbs and tubing. Replacing latex cuffs provides no protection from latex if the tubing and pump bulbs used to connect the cuff to the instrumentation are made of latex. Ironically, the majority of exposure to latex is from the tubing and pump bulb assembly, not the cuff.
- Unparalleled Patient Comfort: Has your patient ever been cut, pinched, or broken out in a heat rash from a blood pressure cuff? Healthcare professionals have long complained about the blood pressure cuff industry’s inattention to patient comfort. Technicuff’s design concept utilizing high quality soft nylon cover, soft edge taping, flexible latex free bladder system, 360 degree bladder and overall light weight was specific to enhance patient comfort and cuff performance. Technicuff’s unique use of a 360-degree bladder system surrounded by high quality nylon practically eliminates pinching of the patients’ skin under the cuff. The ultimate result is increased patient compliance through comfort.
