News: The FDA Modifies the National Drug Code (NDC) Format and Drug Label Barcode Standards

Effective 3/7/2033, the FDA implemented a final rule establishing a standardized structure for the National Drug Code (NDC). According to this rule, all NDCs assigned by the FDA must contain 12 digits, organized into three separate segments within a single consistent format.
