In 2013, the Educational Conference had more than 260 total attendees including more than 145 pharmacists and technicians. We anticipate hosting 300 attendees in 2014. What is ACA? www.americancollegeofapothecaries.com The American College of Apothecaries, founded in 1940, is a non-profit international organization of pharmacists, pharmacy students, affiliate and corporate members, dedicated to the advancement of professional practice in independent community pharmacy through education, innovation, mentoring, fellowship and training. This is achieved through regular distribution of periodicals, development of major publications and continuing education courses on clinical and administrative topics and conducting educational and specialty conferences. What is IACP? www.iacprx.org The International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists (IACP) is an association representing more than 3,600 pharmacists, technicians, students, and members of the compounding community who focus upon the specialty practice of pharmacy compounding. Compounding pharmacists work directly with prescribers including physicians, nurse practitioners and veterinarians to create customized medication solutions for patients and animals whose healthcare needs cannot be met by manufactured medications. More than 164,000 patients and prescribers also belong to our organization via the grassroots advocacy group, P2C2 (Patients and Professionals for Customized Care). IACP's mission of protecting, promoting and advancing personalized medication solutions is critical for patient healthcare. What is ACVP? www.vetmeds.org The American College of Veterinary Pharmacists was established to support the efforts of independent pharmacists to develop and strengthen services they provide to veterinarians – assisting them in meeting the needs of their practices.
