BOC CEO Judi Knott Earns Certified Association Executive Credential

OWINGS MILLS, Md. (March 24, 2023)– The Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC) is pleased to announce its president and CEO, Judi Knott, MA, MBA, CAE recently earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). The CAE is the highest professional credential in the association industry.


“As I embrace my new role as CEO, I think it is important to hold myself accountable to growth and learning,” said Knott. “The CAE credential indicates that I am committed as an association leader and have demonstrated the wide range of knowledge essential to managing in today’s challenging environment. Just as BOC provides valued credentials for our customers to advance their careers and professional credibility, I appreciate the advantage the CAE credential brings to my management skills and leadership.”


To earn the Certified Association Executive designation, an applicant must have experience with nonprofit organization management, complete a minimum of 100 hours of specialized professional development, pass a stringent examination in association management and pledge to uphold a code of ethics. To maintain the certification, individuals must undertake ongoing professional development and activities in association and nonprofit management. More than 4,600 association professionals currently hold the CAE credential. The CAE Program is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA).
