PREP Act Amendment and Fall Vaccines – Pharmacy Impact

On August 4, 2021 the Eighth Amendment of the Declaration Under the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness (PREP) Act for Medical Countermeasures Against COVID-19 was issued. One week later the CDC and FDA announce approval of a 3rd dose of COVID vaccine for specific high risk patients that have completed their mRNA vaccine series.
