First Timer’s Guide Thank you for planning to attend the ACA, IACP, ACVP Educational Conference February 5-8, 2014 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida at the Harbor Beach Marriott Resort & Spa. We know attending a conference for the first time can be overwhelming. To help you prepare for the Educational Conference, we’ve put together a comprehensive guide. Ambassador and First Timer Program: Let the networking being! The Educational Conference is a great opportunity to network and meet with your fellow colleagues. The Ambassador and First Timer Program connects veteran ACA, IACP or ACVP Members and/or Board of Directors Members with First Timers prior to the meeting to share ideas and help to better acquaint them with the meeting and help make introductions to new friends and colleagues. How does the Ambassador and First Timer Program work? First Timers will be connected to their Educational Conference Ambassador three weeks prior to the meeting via the email address provided during registration. We encourage all First Timers and Ambassadors to reach out to each other prior to the meeting to establish a relationship before arriving to Florida and schedule a time to meet with each other on-site.
