MPS Pharma & Medical, Inc. | SafeFill™ Trays & TipGuard™ Caps

SafeFill™ trays keep ophthalmic bottles covered row-by-row and TipGuard™ caps keep dropper tips untouched — purpose-built ready-to-fill containers that protect aseptic integrity in hospital sterile compounding workflows.

Company Background
MPS Pharma & Medical, Inc. products have supported pharmacy and laboratory customers since the mid-1980s, when the company was founded as MPS Acacia to supply neonatal intensive care products and related items to pharmacies and laboratories in the U.S. and abroad. Following the 2013 Drug Quality and Security Act and the creation of the FDA’s 503B outsourcing-facility framework, the company established MPS Medical, Inc. in 2014. A change in ownership in 2021 brought a refounding to MPS Pharma & Medical, Inc. and a sharpened mission — to become the leading container provider for sterile compounding teams. Today MPS operates as an FDA-regulated medical device manufacturer, producing in Class 7 cleanrooms at its Brea, California facilities, registered with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and licensed by the State of California Department of Health and Human Services.

Product Overview
SafeFill™ trays and TipGuard™ caps are partnered ready-to-fill container solutions designed for the manual filling workflows that dominate hospital sterile compounding. The SafeFill™ Manual Filling Tray holds sterile ophthalmic dropper bottles in a row-by-row layout with separate, easy-pull lids — so a compounding technician opens just one row at a time, with adjacent rows kept covered to reduce contamination risk inside the ISO 5 filling space. The companion TipGuard™ Cap ships with the dropper tip pre-assembled inside the cap, completely removing the need for a compounder to ever touch or tweezer-place the tip during dropper assembly. For high-volume sterile syringe compounding, the SafeFill™ Syringe Convenience Tray delivers BD Luer Lock-equivalent sterile syringes (3, 5, 6, 10, 12, 20, 30, and 60 mL) at up to 60 units per tray, with double- or triple-layer pouches designed to be removed step-by-step as material moves from warehouse storage through ISO 7 and into ISO 5. Every SafeFill and TipGuard lot is released sterile, free of endotoxin, and test to USP <788> particulates and ships with a Certificate of Analysis.

Features & Options
The SafeFill™ Manual Filling Tray offers row-by-row access with separate, easy-pull lids that keep adjacent rows covered during filling, and is designed to pair with TipGuard™ Caps for manual ophthalmic compounding. The SafeFill™ Syringe Convenience Tray holds up to 60 BD Luer Lock-equivalent syringes per tray (industry-standard trays typically hold 25), with all luer tips facing forward, double- or triple-layer pouches for stepwise removal between cleanroom zones, and optional pharmacy-branded syringe barrels. TipGuard™ Caps ship with the dropper tip pre-assembled inside the cap to eliminate manual tip handling, are available in multiple colors for drug differentiation across the UA15-415 bottle family, and are engineered for accurate, repeatable drop dispensing. Supply-agreement options — including scheduled deliveries and dedicated supply — help protect pharmacies against ophthalmic dropper outages.
