Hi, my name is Emily Hajjar!  Please let me introduce myself as the director of the Population Health Pharmacy program.  I am a professor in the College of Pharmacy and maintain ambulatory care practices in the care of geriatric, oncology, and palliative care patients within the Jefferson Health System.  I am a 2001 graduate of Duquesne University and I have completed a PGY1 residency at the University of Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital, a PGY2 residency and in geriatrics at the Minneapolis VA hospital, and a geriatric pharmacoepidemiology fellowship at the University of Minnesota.   My research interests include polypharmacy, unnecessary drug use, and medical cannabis.  Within the College of Pharmacy, I teach in a number of courses on neuropsychiatric topics.  Within the Population Health Pharmacy Program, I look forward to teaching Evidence Based Medicine and Care Pathway Development and facilitating the capstone courses.
