As a full time, exempt, CPS Solutions, LLC Outpatient Clinic Pharmacy Manager, you will oversee the pharmacy operations, supervise pharmacy staff, fill orders and dispense medications/prescriptions prescribed by an authorized prescriber and resolve medication-related problems to ensure a safe and optimal patient and customer outcome. You will promote, through criteria based protocols, clinically rational drug therapy and sound pharmaceutical care. You will act as the Pharmacist In Charge, as well as the main pharmacist, and will supervise the outpatient pharmacy staff. In addition, as the Pharmacy Manager, you will market and promote the outpatient pharmacy services within the local community and physician offices.
Schedule: This position will work 40 hours per week during the day shift.
About the Facility: This brand new outpatient clinic pharmacy is due to open at the end of this year and is a part of the Methodist Hospitals network located in Merrillville, Indiana. The pharmacy will have an active 340B program, administer vaccinations, utilizes ePrescribe, performs patient chart reviews and medication therapy management, along with some compounding. This pharmacy will service discharged Methodist Hospital inpatients, Methodist Hospital outpatients and employees. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.
About the Pharmacy: The pharmacy hours are projected to be Monday through Friday 9:00am to 7:00pm and Saturdays 9:00am to 3:00pm; closed on Sundays.
Required Qualifications:
• BS or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy
• Indiana Pharmacist license active and in good standing
• Must have a minimum of 3-5 years previous outpatient pharmacy management experience
• Must be knowledgeable and have demonstrated experience with 340B programs
• Certified immunizer
• Must have demonstrated relationship building skills
• Must be able to start working on a Monday (start dates are twice per month)
• HFAP experience preferred
• Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
• Ability to work cooperatively with other members of hospital and pharmacy staff, as well as CPS staff
Hospital Requirements: (may be required)
• (PPD) TB Skin Test – Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
• (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
• Varicella – (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
• Hep B3 Series (or declination)
• (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
• COVID Vaccine-Full (required)
