Industry leading pharmaceutical returns management company, PharmaLink, Inc. announced today that it has completed its second expansion of its current headquarters and processing location in Largo, Florida. The expansion increases its overall capacity to 91,000 square feet at its current facility and will substantially augment its processing and product storage capacity. The expanded operations center will result in a more than a 200% increase in processing capacity and an 55% increase in storage capacity.
Thierry Beckers, CEO & President of PharmaLink stated “Adding processing and storage capacity comes at an important time in PharmaLink’s growth. Our reputation as an innovative company, focused on quality and commitment to our customers has resulted in additional business that made the expansion necessary to meet customer thru-put requirements while maintaining or even improving processing time,“ said Beckers. “We are very pleased that the ability to expand within the same building was possible because the integration of technology infrastructure, systems workflow and operations symmetry is that much easier to implement and does not affect current customer processing.”
The announced expansion is Phase III of a strategic plan initiated in 2019 to allow PharmaLink to increase processing capacities, integrate new technologies and expand its service offerings to the market. After completing Phase I facility expansion in early 2020, PharmaLink started Phase II improvements, which included investments in automation of PharmaLink’s facility with implementation of Exacta Acculight® put-to-light & pick-to-light put walls for intelligent semi-automatic sortation and a Kardex Megamat® Vertical Carousel automated storage solution for accurate and fast storage and retrieval of products to the manufacturer. The company continues to make investments in its infrastructure to improve the service offerings provided to its clients.
