As a full-time, exempt CPS Solutions, LLC Medication Safety Officer (MSO Pharmacist) you will manage and coordinate the pharmacy department’s medication safety and quality agenda to ensure safe, effective, and consistently high-quality care throughout the department and hospital. The MSO has primary oversight of the Pharmacy Department’s quality improvement, performance improvement, and medication safety programs. The MSO directs the pharmacy department toward process improvements that will support the reduction of medication errors and adverse drug events. The MSO is responsible for ongoing safety assessments, RCA, and ACA’s relating to medication errors & adverse drug events, coordinating the activities and presenting results to the Medication Safety Committee, P&T, and the PI Committees.  Providing education related to quality and patient safety, consulting with management & staff, and partnering with other professionals in the hospital and health system to improve the quality of care, medication safety, and patient satisfaction is the foundation of this position. The MSO leads the medication safety learning experience for the residency program as well as precepts APPE students.


Schedule: This position is scheduled to work a minimum of 40 hours per week. A typical schedule in this role will consist of  weekdays   Monday-Friday with an occasional weekend if the need arises. This position will be on call every 4 weeks.
