Detection Leads to Protection

Chemotherapy, with its toxic chemicals and potential spills, creates health hazards to healthcare workers. If left unchecked, employees working in a pharmaceutical, infusion, and oncology environment may receive exposure to antineoplastic drugs, posing potential long-term health risks.

ChemoAlert is a surface sampling kit to test for drug residue. Hospitals, pharmacies, and infusion centers consider this an essential test for any employee who handles chemotherapy drugs. Bureau Veritas developed ChemoAlert to comply with USP <800> and NAPRA regulations and to ensure the safe handling of hazardous drugs.

The easy-to-use kit includes everything you need to collect a viable HD sample. A single swab can detect up to 19 hazardous drugs, including platinum-containing drugs. After collecting samples from typical workplace surfaces, clients mail the swabs to Bureau Veritas’ accredited laboratory for analysis. Customers receive results within ten business days, with rush options available for same-day results.

Bureau Veritas is a world leader in testing, inspection, and certification services, prioritizing quality, safety, and responsibility.
