The last two years of my hero’s life were spent five hours from her home in a hospital room fighting for her life. Though the treatment was grueling, the hardest part for my grandmother was being away from her family. I often wonder if her outcome would have been different if she could have received these life-saving therapies within the comfort and love of her home.
