Founded in 1993, 340B Health is a membership organization of more than 1,300 public hospitals, private non-profit hospitals and health systems in the federal 340B drug pricing program. With a mission to “Be the leading advocate and resource for 340B hospitals and their clinicians.” 340B Health monitors, educates and serves as an advocate on federal legislative and regulatory issues related to drug pricing and other pharmacy matters affecting safety-net providers; but, 340B Health is more than a drug purchasing program. It’s a lifesaver for low-income, uninsured, under-insured and other vulnerable patients.
