Sentry celebrates as a proud partner in National Health IT Week
This September 23-27, Sentry is once again a proud partner of U.S. National Health IT Week (NHIT). The theme this year is Supporting Healthy Communities and driving transformation of our health and wellness ecosystem to promote better health outcomes and health equity.
As part of supporting healthy communities, HIMSS is highlighting the importance of:
-Advancing public and population health
-Modernizing the public health infrastructure
-Accelerating workforce development (including engaging women in STEM and HIT careers)
-Expanding access to broadband and telehealth
-Addressing social determinants of health
Initiated in 2006 by the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), National Health IT Week has emerged as a landmark occasion for using health IT as part of the overall solution to improve America’s healthcare as a bipartisan, federally led, market-driven initiative.
In recognition of the NHIT Week theme, Supporting Healthy Communities, Sentry will hold an employee celebration at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, September 25, at its corporate headquarters.
We will also be posting a series of three blogs throughout the week of September 23, highlighting a few of the dedicated women in HIT who are a key part of our organization’s success.

It’s so important to have a network of women that you can ask questions of, share challenges with, and learn from,” says Kim Jacques, our Chief Information Officer. “The best part about working at Sentry is the leadership.
