Often, pharmacy technicians are given no formal training in recognizing different dosage forms of the same drug. Not understanding the differences and importance of selecting the right medication can lead to medication errors and patient safety concerns down the road.

The goal is to make pharmacy technicians aware of the available dosage forms, and more comfortable choosing the right drug the first time.
