Arthur Shaw was introduced to the field of pharmacy at a young age. His parents are healthcare professionals, and he has been in and around hospitals and pharmacies most of his life. At a young age, Arthur was diagnosed with a rare disease. However, this gave him the unknown fortune of a better understanding of the world of healthcare – both through his experiences as a patient and now through his experience as a healthcare worker. Arthur’s career goals have been created by various experiences, which he has had the opportunity to improve upon during his journey to becoming a pharmacist. The experience gained from volunteering at health screenings, conducting bench/bedside research, and working as a pharmacy intern have given him knowledge from multiple perspectives to become a well-rounded and trustworthy leader in and out of UAMS.
