Unit Dose Solutions (UDS) Has Earned Drug Distributor Accreditation by the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy® (NABP®)
UDS has earned NABP’s Drug Distributor Accreditation (DDA) by demonstrating that their facility meets NABP® ’s rigorous requirements. The NABP-DDA seal plays a pivotal role in preventing counterfeit drugs and devices from entering the United States Medical Supply.
UDS has undergone a very thorough and detailed physical audit by NABP® on May 13, 2021, after submitting the required detailed paperwork to NABP®. The entire process that was undertaken by UDS was overseen by Angela Whitehead, Manager of Quality Assurance at UDS and was a process that started in April 2020.
The US supply of prescription drugs and devices is produced and delivered to patients via a complex distribution path, and this accreditation seeks to ensure that facilities operate legitimately, are licensed in good standing, are employing, and display best practices for safely storing, handling, and shipping prescription drugs and devices. NABP®’s Drug Distributor Accreditation is best suited for participants in the medical supply chain that store, handle, and ship prescription drugs and devices.
