Description: As a full-time, exempt CPS® Pharmacy Operations Manager, you will oversee all pharmacy operations including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities, according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws. You will recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs with assistance from a full support team. You will assist in providing operational oversight and management to 25 Pharmacists, 17 Pharmacy Technicians, and 2 Pharmacy Buyers.
Schedule: This position works at least 40 hours per week, primarily Monday through Friday day shifts.
About the Facility: Mon Health Medical Center is a Joint Commission accredited, 189-bed acute-care community hospital and Level IV Trauma Center located in Morgantown, West Virginia. It is part of Mon Health, an "integrated health care delivery system" serving north-central West Virginia, western Maryland, and southwestern Pennsylvania. Monongalia Health Medical Center is an acute care adult facility with a wide range of specialties including Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Family Medicine, General Surgery, Neurology, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Oculofacial Surgery, Oncology, Orthopedics, Psychiatry & Behavioral Health, and Rheumatology. CPS® has partnered with the hospital to manage the day-to-day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS®.
About the Pharmacy: Pharmacy hours of operation are 24 hours, 7 days per week including centralized and decentralized pharmacy staff. Cerner EMR and Pyxis ES dispensing cabinets are the pharmacy systems that are utilized. The pharmacy staff also provides remote after-hours order verification services for the on-site Long Term Acute Care department, utilizing Epic, Omnicell, and Cerner.
Required Qualifications:
- B.S or PharmD degree from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy
- West Virginia Pharmacist license in good standing
- 3+ years of recent Pharmacy experience in a hospital setting or completion of PGY1 residency
- Recent pharmacy management experience preferred
- Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
- Effective communications skills; verbal and written
Hospital Requirements:
- (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
- (MMR) Measles, Mumps, and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- Hepatitis B3 Series or declination
- COVID-19 Vaccination (required)
