EPA Publishes Revised 10-Step Blueprint for Managing Pharmaceutical Waste

EPA has released the revised 10-Step Blueprint for Managing Pharmaceutical Waste in US Healthcare Facilities. The initial Blueprint was first released in 2006 and updated in 2008. This new version features the Subpart P Hazardous Waste Pharmaceuticals Rule, the hazardous waste Sewer Ban, and the OTC Nicotine Exemption. The Blueprint offers both a Quick Start Guide, a Step-by-Step Guide to Notifying under Subpart P, and a more comprehensive ten step approach to implementing or revising your hazardous waste pharmaceutical program.
