TruCLEAN HydroSorb Sponge Mop

Utilizing the ISSA Workloading Basic Principles below, a time and motion study was conducted onsite at Siena College’s Roger Bacon Hall for Science to define production rates and efficiencies over a period of time using the prescribed tasks and tools.

ISSA Consulting has conducted a comprehensive time study assessment and efficacy analysis of Perfex mop systems, focusing on three distinct mop heads used in conjunction with a standardized three-bucket system. This study aims to evaluate the performance and production rates of each mop head, providing valuable insights into their effectiveness in various cleaning scenarios. By systematically measuring and comparing the time and effort required for each mop head to complete standardized tasks, this analysis seeks to inform best practices and enhance overall operational efficiency in the cleaning process.

The ISSA Consulting team employed the advanced TruCLEAN Pro Triple Bucket System from Perfex to conduct their meticulous product testing. This innovative system, designed to enhance hygiene and efficiency, consists of three separate compartments: solution bucket, a rinse bucket, and a waste bucket. By utilizing this configuration, the system effectively prevents cross-contamination and ensures a consistent supply of clean water, or solution, for mopping. During the study, ISSA used this three-bucket system to test the performance of three different mop heads, meticulously measuring the time and effort required for each mop head to complete various cleaning tasks. This methodical approach allowed for a precise comparison of the mop heads' efficacy, providing valuable insights into their suitability for diverse cleaning environments.

TruCLEAN HydroSorb Sponge Mop

This mop head is renowned for its exceptional absorbency and non-linting construction making it ideal for environments that demand the highest standards of cleanliness. Utilizing the three-bucket system, ISSA Consulting conducted a thorough assessment of the HydroSorb Mop, measuring its cleaning efficiency and the time required to complete various tasks. The results of this analysis provided valuable data on the mop's performance, reinforcing its suitability for maintaining stringent hygiene protocols in critical cleaning applications.

EQUIPMENT OBSERVATIONS AND DATA POINTS

Showcasing its efficiency in cleaning large areas the HydroSorb mop demonstrated comparable productivity rates to the sponge mop in the ISSA Consulting study. Notably, the HydroSorb mop achieved a 95% reduction in ATP readings, suggesting its superior absorbency significantly enhances its ability to remove contaminants from surfaces. This high level of contaminant removal indicates that the HydroSorb mop is exceptionally effective in maintaining stringent hygiene standards, making it a valuable tool for environments requiring meticulous cleanliness.

In terms of floor safety and aesthetics, the HydroSorb mop also performed admirably. The Dynamic Coefficient of Friction (DCOF) readings improved by 19%, indicating an increased slip resistance that contributes to safer walking conditions. Additionally, the floor gloss meter readings improved by 44%, highlighting the mop's capability to enhance the visual appeal and shine of the cleaned surfaces. These improvements in DCOF and gloss readings underscore the HydroSorb mop's effectiveness not only in cleaning but also in improving the overall safety and appearance of the floors, making it an excellent choice for comprehensive cleaning applications.

SUMMARY

The Hydrosorb mop outperformed its counterparts in terms of ATP readings, indicating superior removal of contaminants from surfaces. This impressive result can be attributed to the mop head's enhanced absorbency, which allows it to effectively capture and retain more dirt and microbes. Despite its additional padding, which enhances its cleaning capacity, the Hydrosorb mop maintained the same high productivity rate as the sponge mop, demonstrating its efficiency and suitability for rigorous cleaning tasks. The wringer system was particularly well-suited to the HydroSorb mop head providing a tight fit that ensured consistent wringing and application of cleaning solution. This compatibility allowed for a uniform cleaning process, contributing to the overall efficacy of the mop.
