New Automated Adherence Pouch Packaging System Helps Adherence-Based Pharmacies Address Tight Margins

Genoa City, Wisconsin — September 3, 2024 — Although cost-to-fill is key to pharmacy profitability, traditional adherence packaging technology has been less efficient than possible. TruPak helps pharmacies decrease cost-to-fill (the total cost related to dispensing a single prescription) by drastically reducing the time and labor needed to fill and verify pouch package prescriptions. The system uses RFID canisters to reduce exception trays and hot swap technology to allow for replenishment and canister changes without stopping production, which means more uptime.
