Congratulations Dr. Matt Dandino APPE Inpatient Preceptor of the Year
Roosevelt University College of Pharmacy is fortunate to have affiliations
with many impressive Institutional Healthcare Systems in the Chicagoland
area that offer outstanding Hospital and Acute Care Medicine rotations for
our Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) students. Each year our
students submit their nominations for APPE Preceptor
of the Year. The APPE Inpatient Preceptor of the Year
recipient this year was awarded to Dr. Matt Dandino
from Mount Sinai Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Matt
Dandino has the distinction of receiving the highest
rating of “Exceptional” from all of the students that
he precepted this year. He was acknowledged as
someone who takes the time to know his students,
is welcoming to student’s questions, makes sure that
the student is getting the most out of their rotation
and genuinely cares about them. Students saw this preceptor as a true role
model and mentor, as evidenced by the following comments, “he loves what
he does“ and “he understands which activities contribute to learning and
continuously challenges me”. Dr. Matt Dandino was presented his award at
the Class of 2018 Awards and Hooding Ceremony.
