On December 1, 2019, four USP chapters will become official: revised on nonsterile compounding, revised on sterile compounding, as published on February 1, 2016, and new on compounding and handling radiopharmaceuticals. Pharmacies need to prepare for compliance for all these chapters, not only for patient safety but since state boards of pharmacy and accreditation organizations are focusing on them. This session will highlight the key areas of revised , including personnel training and monitoring, facility design and monitoring, assignment of beyond-use dates, and work practices, and provide strategies to come into compliance prior to December.
