Improve Patient Experience with Automated Prescription Pickup from Parata

In a perfect world, your pharmacy will-call would be available 24 hours a day, allowing every prescription to be picked up whenever a patient is ready and able to come in. In reality, most pharmacies are not open around the clock, making prescription pickup a challenge for some patients. In particular, patients who are discharged from the hospital after normal business hours, those who live far from the pharmacy, or those whose work keeps them from getting to the pharmacy easily may find it difficult to access a prescription when they need it.

Parata’s WellSpot Prescription Pick-Up Locker offers an automated solution that essentially extends your reach beyond the pharmacy counter and expands your open hours with no extra staffing needs. The secure, steel-frame kiosk can be mounted to the wall or floor, and contains 46 individual lockers of varying sizes protected by tamper-proof security locks. A barcode scanner authenticates transactions, while dual-camera video surveillance records all activity. A built-in point-of-sale interface offers a HIPAA-compliant connection to your PMS, collects copays, and captures signatures. Optional expansions include additional lockers, refrigerated lockers, and the ability to dispense commonly purchased OTC products.
