Lakeland Makes Donning Easier for Cleaner Cleanrooms

Protective clothing is essential in the pharmacy compounding cleanroom to avoid exposing staff to hazardous drugs, to prevent product contamination and protect patient safety, and also to maintain your controlled environment. Donning sterile cleanroom garments can take between 5 and 10 minutes each time, because a careful procedure must be followed to ensure sterility. One estimate indicates that cleanroom operators dispose of approximately 10% of their sterile garments weekly due to accidental contamination during the gowning process.

Lakeland’s CleanMax products incorporate special features that make donning easier. An easy-open strip allows packages to be opened with less handling, and garments are folded and left unzipped before packaging for easier donning. As folded garments are removed from the package, they fall easily into position so wearers only ever touch the inside of the garments.

About Lakeland
