Faculty Preceptor of the Year Dr. Sheron Chen
The mission of Roosevelt College of Pharmacy is to embrace a patient centered approach to learning that will graduate pharmacists who are competent, committed, and compassionate. The Office of Experiential Education is fortunate to have an outstanding group of Clinical Faculty who precept our Advanced Pharmacy Practice Students on their rotations and ensure that the College of Pharmacy is living their mission. At the Class of 2016 Awards Banquet in May, Dr. Sheron Chen received the very first Faculty Preceptor of the Year award.
Dr. Chen recently completed her first year as a faculty
member at Roosevelt College of Pharmacy. Her clinical
site is Elmhurst Clinic, which is an Ambulatory Care
Clinic. She has been acknowledged by her students as
an exceptional preceptor who takes the time to work with
students in areas that are challenging to them. Dr. Chen
is an educator who is encouraging, positive in feedback,
and enthusiastic. Her students are all in agreement that
she goes above and beyond, while always having the
best interest of the students that she precepts.
