The bottom line…support patient and prescription drug safety through examinations that assess pharmacist competency, pharmacist licensure transfer and verification services, and various pharmacy accreditation programs. Pharmacies can achieve these proficiencies from the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy® (NABP®), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1904.
More than 116 years of independence and impartiality goes into assisting state boards of pharmacy and its member with protecting the public health in 50 states, District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, 10 Canadian provinces, and The Bahamas.
THE NABP keeps its eyes on the future, given the precariousness of a pandemic and the pressing need for quality, safe medications. We accomplish this through our membership and staff who possess diverse skills and create innovative programs.
Pharmacy Accreditations exist for community, compounding, digital, durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics, and supplies (DMEP) pharmacies. The inspection encompasses quality and safety processes. Pharmacy management can apply for programs individually or they can bundle certain accreditation and inspection programs together.
