There’s a lot going on in the 340B world these days and covered entities have their hands full keeping track of all the changes and figuring out how best to respond, which includes hiring new staff. Knowing the product and knowing the industry impacts is key to managing 340B. That’s why Sentry invested in a training team over a decade ago and has been offering more webinars to customers who could use some help navigating through change.
Customers can expect multiple webinars per month, ranging from 30 minutes to an hour, to go over new Sentry tools or product enhancements, or for refreshers on system-related topics including reporting, configurations and mapping. They’re meant to supplement our robust one to one instructor led training curriculum and provide timely updates on what’s happening in 340B.
Examples of recent webinar topics include an overview of the enhanced Sentinel purchase orders and invoice reporting features, the impact of pharmacy benefit manager process updates and Medicaid final payer authority. Sentry includes other internal and external experts to be guest speakers on topics like manufacturer updates, advocacy and audit preparedness.
The team launched the webinar series in 2020 and has expanded the offerings in response to demand. Our webinars attract multiple covered entity, pharmacy, and consultants in a given webinar, two recent events attracted 360 attendees between them.
Attendees have told us the webinars are a great way to learn more about the Sentry platforms, as well as larger industry trends or issues, and are able to ask questions of the hosts, guests and staff.
Most importantly, they’re a great opportunity for our training team to hear what questions our customers have about the ever-changing 340B landscape and our tools. Getting feedback during Q&A, or through the surveys sent to attendees afterward, helps us tailor our training offerings or future webinar topics to your specific needs and develop additional resources within the Sentry Success Community portal. For those who’d like more information on the topics we cover, we offer Knowledgebase articles and, of course, live instructor-led training courses to go into greater depth.
Webinars are typically held in the middle of the day on Wednesdays. Customers can find information about upcoming topics and registration links in our weekly New & Noteworthy email newsletter and via reminders in our various applications. We hope to “see” you Wednesday!
